We have worked with the Chester Grosvenor on several projects over the past 8 years.

• Refurbishment of the Boardroom
• Refurbishment of the main kitchens
• Replacement of the site wide BMS system
We replaced boiler plant on two sites owned by The Natural History Museum in London.
At the same time we introduced variable speed drive pumps and changed the heating system to 2-port valve operation. The scheme also included the addition of a CHP unit on both sites.
Working at Victoria in central London we replaced the essential electrical services in a building housing 600 journalists.
The work included:
Construction of plantrooms and a substation in the basement.
Installation of new switchgear, UPS and generator.
We have worked on several projects for MEPC at their Birchwood Park complex in Warrington.
• Replacement of the boiler plant at Chadwick House.
• Replacement of 2500 radiator TRV across the site.
• Minor works such as new ventilation to the Gym.
We worked on two interesting projects at their Ellesmere Port plant.
We installed the M&E services to machinery that produces growing media from the waste products of the compost industry.
We then helped move furnace plant from Gainsborough to Ellesmere Port.
Working with energy specialists Cynergin, we upgraded the heating systems at two busy NHS hospitals.
At Warrington we extended the centralised heating system to add three buildings to the system.
At Halton we installed a new central boiler room to allow three remote boilers rooms to be removed.
We took on the relocation of their machinery from Stoke to Warrington. We were responsible for the full move, including the machinery handling and the removal and rebuilding of a steel mezzanine structure. We had to carry out a detail survey of the electrical installation at Stoke to construct as built drawings make sure we could rewire the plant at Warrington.
Construction presents us with the opportunity to work in some of our most iconic buildings.
We replaced the water tanks in the Liver Building. Tanks are located in both towers, just underneath the Liver birds. We had to cut out the existing cast iron tanks and replace them with modern GRP tanks.
We were asked to survey the underfloor heating and produce a record of the installation. With no mains services available, we used a generator and mobile electric boiler to warm up the hidden pipework. A thermal imaging camera allowed us to “see” the hot pipework through the concrete slab. We could then chalk out the route on the slab and transfer this information to a CAD drawing.
This fantastic little job is in the Ogwen Valley in the heart of the Snowdonia National Park. A stunning building in a stunning location.
We worked for the parks authority, unusually on this job we worked only as the M&E designer and then BREEAM Commissioning Manager.
